Old Fireshed Gallery

The Old Fireshed Gallery was converted into a much-needed gallery in 2003, when the Rural Fire Service moved to their new fireshed. Since then it has been a popular and successful exhibition space for local artists, and some from further afield. A new exhibition is held every month. It is an artist - run venue, with the WVAC only requiring 10% of gross sales, and hence very popular.

Our current exhibition …

‘DAY & NIGHT’

An exhibition by PETER & KATIE WILLIAMS

16 January - 15 February

Open 10am - 9pm Daily

Due to ill health, Peter and Katie have postponed the exhibition opening until Friday 16th January. You are invited to attend from 6pm, to enjoy traditional dances, beautiful art and light refreshments. All welcome.

"Stepping into the “Day & Night” exhibition, you are invited to experience the deep connection First Nations people hold with the cycles of day and night. It highlights why our seasons matter and how they link to our songlines, country, language, and culture.

The exhibition showcases works by Peter and Katie Williams, alongside vibrant creations crafted by their children."  - Katie

LIFE DRAWING at the Old Fireshed Gallery

Artists and members that have been attending the Life Drawing classes with Mandy Davies will be heartened to know that WVAC have decided to continue with the classes out of respect for Mandy. There will be a different tutor every week, a shared endeavour. We will be creating a calendar for 2026 dates. If you are interested in attending 2026 Life Drawing classes please contact us.
